Announcing Deidox | Pii Chui, coming October 1

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

We’re excited to announce that a new Deidox film, Pii Chui, is coming on October 1, 2010!

The film was shot on location in Thailand by Brent Gudgel and Chris Sinclair, produced in partnership with the International Mission Board (IMB). Brent and Chris actually filmed two Deidox stories while there, the second film from Thailand coming out later this Fall.

Deidox | Pii Chui tells the story of a Burmese refuge, in Thailand, who finds a strength that can only come from God. The week we spent with Pii Chui documenting his story was powerful to say the least, and we can’t wait to share the story with you on October 1.

Grace and peace.

New updates to the Deidox Website

Monday, July 26th, 2010

We just launched some new updates to our website.  Our old design took awhile to load on many computers so we simplified the front page banner.   The banner will allow us to highlight new films, blog posts, specials and other updates.

The other big change is that we’ve incorporated a search function for the website.  So if you are looking for a film to fit a certain theme or subject, try entering it into our search field at the top of the home page.

Also on the new home page you can scroll through the “short films” section and see all our current films and future releases.  To view the film, just click on the individual film thumbnail.

Click on the “What is Deidox” section to learn more about our vision and how to use the films.

At the top of the site you can email your friends and tell them about Deidox, follow us on twitter & facebook, and sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date on new films and specials.

You can also read and subscribe to our blog to find out the latest production news.  We’ve placed a few reviews from Pastors, church leaders and others to give you an idea of how the Deidox films can be utilized.

It’s been almost a year and a half since we launched the Deidox site with our very first film. Thanks so much for your continued support, encouragement and feedback.  Take a few minutes and check out the new site.  If you have any suggestions or thoughts, feel free to email them to info@deidox.com.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Brent and Jon (and their lovely assistants, Danielle & Jen) have finished up production in Prague.  They spent the last week being challenged and inspired by an elderly lady named Ludmila.

We are really excited to share this story with you.  In the meantime, here are some pics from the trip.

Deidox Team off to Prague

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Brent Gudgel and John Harrison are on their way to Prague to work on the next Deidox short film.  They are exploring several stories and will provide some updates from the trip over the next 10 days.

As Deidox continues to grow, we are trying to tell more international stories of how God is working through His people around the world.  We have several new films that will be coming out over the next 6 months from Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Haiti, and Prague.

Thanks for your continued support of Deidox.  We really appreciate it.

Kyrgyzstan update

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

We have been collaborating with a group of filmmakers on a potential Deidox film in Kyrgyzstan.  We are really excited about the story they are filming on a sheep farmer named Mirlan.   They have a few more weeks and then will be returning to the States and will start the post production process.  In the meantime, here is a quick update from Tim Chew:

I came to Kyrgyzstan without a story and it was incredible to be able to meet Mirlan within my first week here. Looking beyond the shooting, I think the highlights for our team have been the times we set down the cameras and just enjoyed hanging out with Mirlan and his family, whether relaxing and drinking tea, or sweating beside him as we all mixed concrete for his new house. Things have been pretty choatic and out of control at times (thanks animals) but we’re trusting God to provide. – Tim Chew, Filmmaker

Below are some production stills from the team.

Deidox film production begins in Kyrgyztan

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

We are really excited about a partnership we have developed with Gratis 7 Media Group and independent filmmaker, Tim Chew. Tim and a few friends are currently in Kyrgyztan working on two film projects.

We have been collaborating with the group on a potential Deidox film and look forward to sharing this story in the near future. In the meantime, here is a video of the team talking about the trip.

Would love you to join us in praying for their trip and production on both projects.

Alyssa

We now have picture lock on Deidox | Alyssa!

We just sent the edit off to our musician Joshua Myers and our colorist Jeremiah Belt.  These two unsung heroes have worked with us on all of the Deidox films thus far and we cant wait to see their work on Deidox | Alyssa.  We gotta give another quick shout out to our friends from Cornerstone Simi Valley, Jacob Lewis and Jeff Henson for helping us find the story and shoot the film.

We still cant spill the beans on what the film is about so you’re gonna have to come watch it when it launches on May 26th.

dawn
If you are looking for media content to use this Sunday for Mother’s Day,  we’d like to remind you of our film, Deidox | Dawn.

We think the mom’s in your congregation will be inspired by this true story of a mother of three.
